About

Creative technologist, based in Tbilisi.

I'm Nick Iakzhin. I work across visual production, digital development and business automation, and my main strength is seeing a project whole: from the first idea and visual concept to its technical implementation.

Three fields, one practice

I'm an independent creative technologist with an interdisciplinary way of working. I make advertising materials and visual concepts, work with generative AI, build websites, write scripts, set up CRM systems and connect different services into a single system.

Ready-made tools are a starting point. What interests me is finding unusual ways to combine them, so that a task which once needed a team and a long timeline can be solved more directly.

How the pieces fit

Neural networks help me create graphics, video, animation and sound. Programming lets me automate routine operations, process data and build my own tools. Design experience brings all of it together into solutions that are clear and visually convincing.

I use AI as part of a full creative process, not as a shortcut around it: generation works alongside composition, typography, editing and manual refinement.

Background

I've worked with design and video editing since 2018. In the same year I started working in 3D with Blender, and later completed additional training in game-ready asset production covering the full pipeline: low-poly modeling and topology, UV unwrapping and texel density, high-poly detail, texture baking, materials in Substance 3D Painter and export for target software.

Since 2021 I've worked on commercial projects. Alongside digital work, I prepare print: business cards, posters, restaurant menus and billboards, with prepress handled for production.

Working together

I'm based in Tbilisi, Georgia, and work remotely with international teams in English or Russian. I usually work with entrepreneurs, online services and agencies that need a clear visual or operational solution.

Every project is formalized by agreement. Payment is possible via PayPal, bank transfer to a TBC Bank account, including SWIFT, or cryptocurrency, with terms confirmed before work begins.

Right now

I designed and built this website myself with Astro, TypeScript and AI-assisted development, including the print-style halftone portrait on the home page.

I'm also preparing a small group of YouTube channels about AI tools and the opportunities they open up for creators.

How I work

From first idea to working result.

Four stages. How much time each one takes depends on the task; the order stays the same.

  1. 01

    Understand

I start with the task itself and work out what really needs to be made, improved or automated.

  2. 02

    Explore

I research possible approaches, choose the tools and build concepts and prototypes.

  3. 03

    Build

I bring design, development and current technology together into a result that works.

  4. 04

    Refine

I work through the details and check usability, technical quality and how well the result answers the original task.
